wning a 1,300-acre estate and a nine-month supply of frozen sperm, Sir Benjamin Slade, 79, is now searching for a ‘good breeder.’ The British baronet has created Tinder profiles, placed newspaper ads, and even appeared on a TV show in his quest to find a wife to produce an heir — and a backup — for his multimillion-dollar fortune
Sir Benjamin Slade, pictured on his estate in 2025, is on the hunt for a “baby mama” to father a son.
The baronet — a rank just below a baron and above most knights — has revived his decades-long search for a spouse, this time with an unusual list of requirements.
Scorpios, readers of the Guardian, and people from countries starting with the letter “I” or with green in their national flags need not apply, Sir Benjamin said.
A helicopter license and legal expertise would be considered useful.
Unsurprisingly, he is seeking a woman three to four decades his junior to ensure his estate passes to his future heir while also marrying the mother to formalize the arrangement. He added that having a daughter somewhere in the mix would be acceptable as well.
The baronet’s family has owned the historic 1,300-acre Maunsel House estate since 1772.
“You want a new car, you get a new car, not some old banger,” the lesser noble told the UK’s Independent.
Sir Benjamin, the seventh Baronet of Maunsel House — holding the lowest hereditary title in the British honor system — has spent decades searching for a wife to bear his sons.
He was previously married to Pauline Myburgh but divorced in 1991, citing her 17 cats as more than he could handle. The couple did not have any children.
The controversial aristocrat has once again launched his decades-long search for a bride decades his junior.
After undergoing successful IVF treatment, he fathered a daughter with American poet Sahara Sunday Spain in 2021. However, he later called off two planned weddings with her and no longer maintains contact with their child.
“It’s unbelievable after everything that’s happened, he’s still talking about wanting babies,” Spain told the Daily Mail.
Maunsel House, near Bridgwater in Somerset, Britain, is owned by Sir Benjamin.
The baronet’s prospective new wife would receive an annual salary of £50,000 — just over $66,000 — with housing and meals included. However, Sir Benjamin, reportedly struggling with liquidity, would prefer if she brought her own wealth.
“A little private capital and income would be helpful. A large fortune would be more helpful!” reads his list of requirements.
The baronet is reportedly in discussions to sell his historic estate, held by his family since 1772, to a luxury hotel group. He previously rented the property for weddings, but the business suffered major losses during the pandemic.
