The couple first ignited engagement speculation when they appeared on the red carpet at Monday’s world premiere of “Avatar: Fire and Ash” in Los Angeles.
Cyrus, 33, and her musician beau, 27, posed together for photos — and she made sure her dazzling diamond ring, set in a thick gold band, was on full display.
Jewelry designer Jacquie Aiche was later confirmed by her rep at Francesca Consulting to be the creator of the custom piece.
According to Francesca Consulting, the ring features a cushion-cut diamond set in a “chunky” 14-karat yellow gold band.
For the premiere, Cyrus turned heads in a black strapless sequin gown with a structured bodice, ruffled skirt and sweeping train, while Morando complemented her look in a classic black suit and crisp white shirt.
Francesca Consulting also offered specifics about the sparkler, revealing that it features a cushion-cut diamond set in a “chunky” 14-karat yellow gold band.
Just hours after the pair hit the red carpet, Maxx’s father, Dan Morando, shared a congratulatory message on social media — further cementing the news.
Posting photos from a private celebration, seemingly held at a sushi restaurant, he gave fans a closer look at Cyrus’ ring.
He also included sweet shots of the couple hugging and smiling as they celebrated their engagement with friends and family, captioning the post, “ .”

The happy couple marked the occasion with friends and family during a celebratory dinner at a sushi restaurant.
Cyrus — who was previously married to actor Liam Hemsworth from December 2018 to January 2020 — was first spotted wearing the ring in mid-November, according to Deuxmoi.
She also flaunted the sparkler while celebrating her birthday last weekend.
In a pair of Instagram photos, Cyrus held her hands to her face as she admired her birthday cake, captioning the post, “33 is already burning bright thanks to the warmth of your sweet birthday wishes. All I want this year is more laughs with the people who give me the little smile lines that are starting to show up. I love you all.”
Reps for the stars have not yet responded to Page Six’s requests for comment.
The couple also attended a Versace fashion show together in March 2023.
After the duo was spotted making out in LA in April 2022, a source told E! News six months later that their relationship had become “very serious.”
Morando later joined Cyrus — for whom he has produced music — at the 2024 Grammy Awards, where she took home both record of the year and best pop solo performance for her smash hit “Flowers.”
The lovebirds shared a celebratory kiss, and Cyrus even gave her “love” a special shout-out during her acceptance speech.
