Shirley MacLaine is clearly still enjoying life to the fullest.
The 91-year-old Hollywood icon made a rare public appearance on Saturday at Kristy’s Village Cafe, one of her favorite Malibu spots.
She was seen enjoying a cocktail and a meal alongside her male assistant, who helped her make her way to the table.

The beloved actress has become a familiar face at Kristy’s, visiting the popular California eatery twice in July 2024, including for a Fourth of July lunch.
For the holiday outing with a friend, MacLaine dressed comfortably in a purple T-shirt, black hoodie, gray pants, and a light blue visor. She received some assistance walking as they left the restaurant.

The 90-year-old actress credits her lifelong health and vitality to her decades-long dance career.
“I started my dance training at age 3 and stopped at about 67. It taught me discipline, loving music, working with people, and dealing with pain,” MacLaine told People.
The Steel Magnolias star added, “I have my friends, and I am really healthy.”

In 2019, the then-85-year-old MacLaine described her life as “perfect.”
“I eat what I want, I sleep when I want,” she told People. “Not that much bothers me. I think attitudes are a choice. Anger is a choice, peace is a choice, sarcasm — which is what I’m good at — is a choice.”
In a May 2024 interview with Extra’s Billy Bush, MacLaine reflected on how Hollywood has changed.
“The glamour’s gone out of it, I’m afraid. I think it’s entirely different,” she said. “It’s 100% different.”

When asked about the lack of privacy for celebrities today, MacLaine shrugged it off: “It’s all right. I’m kind of open anyway, and I don’t have much to hide.”
The Oscar-winning actress, who earned the award for Best Actress for the 1983 comedy-drama Terms of Endearment, hasn’t taken on a film role since the 2022 dark comedy American Dreamer.
In that film, she played a lonely widow weighing whether to sell her estate to a professor, portrayed by Game of Thrones star Peter Dinklage.
That same year, MacLaine also appeared in two episodes of the hit Hulu series Only Murders in the Building.
