5 Factors That Affect Your Intuition

Intuition plays a very powerful role in our lives. Though most people may not realize it, it usually kicks in when people are in danger, especially because it can worn us of impending danger. On the other hand, some people may feel very strongly about a job opportunity that they see. Regardless to the situation, people tend to have an amazing instinct that kicks in, and in goes well beyond what people are being taught in school.
This said, it is important to note that there are also barriers that can inhibit intuition that people need to be aware of. Five of the most common are listed below.

#1 – Logical Mind Begins to Control thoughts and Actions

It is important to note that when people think logically that it interferes with the intuition that people have when they are thinking about specific events. This is because in many situations the logic that people possess has to made sense if they are going to believe it. On the other hand, when intuition takes over, it may not make sense to the person at all. However, at the end of the day, the individual’s intuition may pan out to be completely true. So, when there is conflict between the two, people may go against their own intuition in order to go with the facts.

#2 – Negative Events Happens on a Regular Basis

When negative events occur on a regular basis, it tends to color an individual’s ability to think out of the box. Therefore, if even they have an intuition about a person that some thing is actually wrong, they may ignore their personal feelings if they know that they cannot trust them because they are jaded. So, the person will need to slow down and take more time to ensure their intuition works properly.

#3 – Ego Gets in the Way

Ego can also get in the way of people not following their own intuition. This is because a person’s ego will often override an individual’s feelings about a person or an event.

#4 – Caring too Much About What Others Think

Sometimes people tend to care a lot about what others may think, and it can prevent them from doing things that they like instead of what others want them to do. Therefore, when people care too much about others and what they would do in certain situations, it keeps them from following their own first minds. Which means, in the long run, people will often have regrets because the decisions that they make can affected their lives adversely instead of going with what they really thought was best for them. For instance, some people may want to become an artist, while other may think that they can make more money by a lawyer.

#5 -Disconnected from Themselves and their Surroundings

Sometimes people do not pay attention to their surroundings. Which means, they may make major mistakes because they do not follow how they feel, especially when they feel fear.
