Take two!
Lily Stewart, the Georgia sorority sister who gained attention for her glamorous mugshot, found herself in legal trouble once again on Sunday, appearing in front of a jail camera after being booked on two new charges, according to official records.
The 20-year-old University of Georgia student, a member of the Alpha Chi sorority, was arrested just two weeks after a previous speeding charge that was later dismissed.
This time, Stewart was charged with obstruction of a law enforcement officer and loitering/prowling after being taken into custody by campus police around 5:30 a.m., according to jail records from the Athens-Clarke County Sheriff’s Office.
Stewart flashed a smile in her Sunday morning booking photo, appearing to wear prison attire, according to photos obtained by TMZ, which first reported on the sorority girl’s second arrest.
The 20-year-old was released from detention later that morning after posting a bond exceeding $4,000, as per jail records.
Her attorney, Stephen Morris, declined to comment on the new charges in an email to The Post on Sunday evening, but confirmed that the speeding charge from March 8 had been dismissed.
Stewart gained viral fame when her mugshot from her first arrest circulated widely on social media last week, and the college student embraced the attention by sharing her favorite comments on her TikTok page.
“I think it’s hilarious. I don’t really get all the hype. I just took a mugshot and went on with my day,” she told The Post last week.
“I love all the comments making fun of me, like, ‘She was on her way to Lululemon’ or ‘She must’ve had to pee really bad.’”
Stewart’s flawless jailhouse photo was the result of having her hair and makeup done for a birthday party she was rushing to before being stopped by a Georgia State Patrol officer.
“I was heading to a friend’s birthday in Milledgeville, [Ga.], and I had just finished getting ready, so that’s probably why my makeup and hair still looked good,” she explained.
