According to an article by the Oklahoman, Kurt Russell, renowned for his role in “The Christmas Chronicles,” had been scheduled for a hip surgery. However, during the same period, the actor faced additional health challenges evident in photographs showing cuts and sores beneath his lower lip. These physical symptoms are reportedly associated with Peutz-Jeghers syndrome (PJS), a condition linked to intestinal cancer.
Cancer.Net highlights that individuals with PJS may face a lifetime risk of cancer as high as 93 percent. The sores observed on Kurt Russell’s face are considered dangerous and necessitate prompt and appropriate treatment due to their potential as precancerous lesions.
Concerns among fans arose when additional photographs emerged, revealing Kurt Russell with disheveled bandages concealing some facial cuts. However, it was later confirmed that these cuts and bruises were actually part of movie makeup for his role in “Deepwater Horizon.”
