“Little House on the Prairie” Stars Melissa Gilbert and Melissa Sue Anderson Reunite After Decades
Melissa Gilbert and Melissa Sue Anderson, beloved for their roles as sisters on Little House on the Prairie, are forging a new chapter in their friendship.
The actresses reunited over the weekend, putting to rest a decades-long feud that has lingered since their time on the NBC drama series.
Gilbert, 61, and Anderson, 63, shared a backstage group photo at Gilbert’s off-Broadway show, Pen Pals, posting it on Instagram on Saturday to commemorate the moment.
In a recent Instagram post, Melissa Gilbert shared a heartwarming group photo featuring Veanne Cox, Betty Buckley, and her Little House on the Prairie co-star Melissa Sue Anderson.
“Worlds collide. Blessings abound. Hearts heal and reunite. Magic happens,” Gilbert wrote. “Last night after @penpalsplay, my genius co-star @veannecox had a surprise in the audience. Boy am I glad I didn’t know in advance that the remarkable @blbuckley was there.”
She added, “But I had a secret of my own—one I’ve been keeping close to my heart for a while now. Reconnection with a sister. Long, healing talks. Lots of reminiscing. Lots of catching up. Lots of laughter and a few tears.”
