“Oh, I worry about [Kanye] all day. All the time. That’s the father of my kids, I’ll never not worry about him,” Kardashian shared in the book, according to Us Weekly.

“And that’s a big burden of having kids with someone who you don’t necessarily get along with. My kids would never know that,” she explained.

The SKIMS founder and the 49-year-old “Stronger” rapper were married from 2014 until their divorce was finalized in 2022. They share four children: North, 13, Saint, 10, Chicago, 8, and Psalm, 7.

Despite their history of disagreements, Kardashian revealed that their co-parenting arrangement has become more peaceful in recent times.

“It’s been pretty smooth for a while. I guess because we don’t talk that much. But when we see each other, we give each other a hug,” she shared.

Kardashian also acknowledged that she makes a conscious effort to put “all the negative things that happened” behind her while maintaining healthy boundaries with West. Above all, she emphasized the importance of ensuring their four children maintain a close and meaningful relationship with their father.

Citizen Kim: The Woman Who Created the Future" author Jonathan Van Meter said in a new interview that Kim Kardashian had called him "late at night" a few months ago.

In her new authorized biography, Citizen Kim: The Woman Who Created the Future, Kardashian emphasized her desire for her children to maintain a positive image of their father despite the former couple’s differences.

“I want them to think their dad is the greatest,” the reality star said.

The mother of four also revealed that she continues to share a close bond with West’s family and has made it clear that the rapper is always welcome in her home.

“Anytime you’re in town, come for dinner with us, see the kids as much as you want, take them out, come over and hang out. That’s their family. So I encourage the relationship with their dad so much,” Kardashian explained.

The reality TV star revealed that she has gone out of her way to make West feel welcome in their children’s home, even offering to leave the house so he can spend quality time with them comfortably.

“Do you want to come to dinner? I’ll leave the house. Come and have dinner with the kids in their house so that they can feel comfy. Sleep over for a few nights?” Kardashian recalled offering.

The former spouses reportedly reunited for Christmas in 2025, with Kardashian inviting West to spend Christmas Eve at her home and extend the invitation to his wife, Bianca Censori.

Kardashian, whose divorce from West was finalized in 2022, emphasized that she wants their four children to view their father in a positive light, insisting that they should believe he “is the greatest.”

The SKIMS founder recalled inviting the rapper to celebrate Christmas with the family last year, even encouraging him to bring his partner along.

“Last Christmas, I said, ‘Sleep over on Christmas Eve. Bring your girlfriend.’ I’m easy! ‘Let’s all do Christmas together,’” she shared.

Kardashian revealed that she intends to make the same offer this holiday season, explaining that she is willing to set aside their painful history for the sake of their children.

“And I’ll recommend it again this year. I will sweep everything under the rug, all the horrible things he has said about me, so that the kids can see their father,” she said.

Despite their troubled past, the reality TV personality admitted that she continues to worry about West’s well-being. While acknowledging that he “always seems to pick himself up,” Kardashian confessed that seeing him go through difficult times still leaves her feeling sad.

The reality TV star also admitted that she worries about West’s well-being “all day,” expressing uncertainty about whether his situation will improve.

“And I don’t think it’s going to get better. I pray it does. For my kids,” Kardashian confessed.

She further revealed that communication with her ex-husband often takes place through his wife, Bianca Censori, and his manager rather than directly.

In January, West publicly addressed his bipolar disorder diagnosis and issued an apology for his past antisemitic remarks in an advertisement published in The Wall Street Journal.

Meanwhile, Kardashian recently opened up about the support system she relies on while raising their four children. Earlier this month, the SKIMS founder revealed that she employs five nannies to help manage her parenting responsibilities.
