One day at a time.
Kate Middleton is gradually returning to her royal duties after entering remission from cancer.
The Princess of Wales, 43, chose not to attend her husband Prince William’s annual polo match on Friday.
Each year, the Prince of Wales, also 43, competes in the Out-Sourcing Inc. Royal Charity Polo Cup, an event that raises funds for several charities supported by the royal couple.
On Friday, William took part in the match at the Guards Polo Club in Windsor, UK, wearing a blue jersey with the number 4, white trousers, and brown riding boots.
Kate Middleton did not attend her husband Prince William’s polo match on Friday.

William took part in the Out-Sourcing Inc. Royal Charity Polo Cup.
The prince, dressed in a blue jersey and white trousers, appeared to enjoy himself despite his wife’s absence.
Middleton also chose to skip the 2024 Polo Cup but attended the event in 2023.
At that time, she was seen enjoying herself and laughing while looking elegant in a blue and white dress.
Middleton has acknowledged that returning to her regular schedule will take time following her battle with cancer.
In March 2024, the princess revealed that she had been diagnosed with the disease.
She last attended the polo competition to support William in 2023.
“In January, I underwent major abdominal surgery in London, and at the time it was believed my condition was non-cancerous,” she explained in a heartfelt video.
“However, tests after the operation revealed cancer was present. My medical team therefore recommended a course of preventative chemotherapy, and I am now in the early stages of that treatment.”
After stepping back from major events, including the royal family’s Easter celebrations, Middleton completed her cancer treatment in September 2024 following what she described as an “incredibly tough” battle.
Just last week, the mother of three acknowledged that life after treatment isn’t fully back to normal yet.
“You’re not necessarily under the clinical team any longer, but you’re not able to function normally at home as you once did,” Middleton said during a visit to Colchester Hospital on July 2.
“Having someone to talk you through that phase after treatment, to show and guide you, is really valuable.”
In June, Middleton also unexpectedly withdrew from Royal Ascot, the week-long horse racing event closely associated with the British royal family and founded by Queen Anne in 1711.
