Appearances can be deceiving. That’s something this man in Colorado discovered after he booked a room at what appeared to be a cozy vintage hotel. He had no idea what was waiting for him.
While he was unpacking his things the first night there, he noticed a strange book on the dresser. He opened it up, and that’s when he found the first clue…
When one man arrived in his room at the Strater Hotel in Durango, Colorado, nothing seemed out of the ordinary.
But when he went to sign the guestbook, he noticed that other hotel guests left several notes about a “hidden” dresser drawer.
He began to investigate, but he couldn’t find anything. Just when he was about to give up, he spotted a hidden metal latch inside the dresser.
He shifted the latch…and out popped the secret drawer.
Inside he found some coins, and a note signed by all of the previous hotel guests who have managed to find the drawer.
This makes you wonder what other mysteries could be hidden in old hotels across the country, just waiting to be discovered. I smell a treasure hunt!
