Throughout the years, martial artist Chuck Norris has garnered immense fame, becoming synonymous with strength and amassing a global fanbase of millions.

Renowned for his martial arts prowess, Chuck Norris holds black belts in Tang Soo Do, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and judo. He is also the founder of Chun Kuk Do, an American hybrid martial arts style inspired by Traditional Taekwondo practices such as Tang Soo Do/Moo Duk Kwan Taekwondo.

In addition to his prominent Hollywood career, Norris is a dedicated family man and a proud father of five. For over 22 years, he has been happily married to his wife Gena O’Kelley, a former model. One aspect we admire about Norris is his unwavering commitment to expressing his love and appreciation for Gena, not only in private but also to the world.

Recently, the actor shared a heartwarming photograph from their wedding day and penned a touching message: “22 years ago, I became the luckiest man in the world when Gena and I tied the knot. Happy Anniversary, my beautiful wife! Words cannot convey the depth of my love and gratitude for you. Thank you for sharing your life with me. I thank God every day for the time we spend together.”

However, Gena O’Kelley is not the sole significant woman in Chuck Norris’ life. The 81-year-old actor is fortunate to still have his beloved mother by his side.

Wilma Norris Knight, who recently celebrated her 102nd birthday, has consistently been an unwavering source of support for her eldest son. Through thick and thin, Wilma has stood by Norris, and he is eternally grateful for her presence in his life.

In a heartfelt letter addressed to his mother, Wilma, Chuck, who turned 83 in March, expresses his awe, saying, “Mom, I can’t decide which is more incredible to believe: that you have reached the remarkable age of 102, or that you have a son who is 83! Regardless, I am profoundly grateful that you are my mother, always have been. We have weathered life’s challenges together, and our bond remains unbreakable.”

When Wilma celebrated her 100th birthday, her renowned son remarked, “Throughout her entire life, Mom has been a shining example of resilience and unwavering faith. She has faced the tragic losses of her two husbands, a stepson, two grandchildren, and my younger brother Wieland in the Vietnam War. She has battled cancer multiple times and endured approximately 30 surgeries for various health challenges, and yet she remains here with us, sharing her incredible story.”

During an appearance on The Mike Huckabee Show in 2012, Wilma reflected on her sons. She affectionately described Chuck as the “defender,” Aaron as her “sunshine,” and Wieland, the youngest who tragically lost his life in Vietnam, as her “hero.”

Wilma’s early years were marked by hardships. In addition to attending school, she had to take on various jobs, including cotton picking. Enduring the challenges of the Great Depression, Wilma’s son Norris shared with WorldNetDaily, “After finishing work in one field, they would often move to another town to work in a different field. Life in the Dust Bowl was far from easy, especially during the tumultuous years of the Great Depression.”

At the age of 16, Wilma crossed paths with Norris’ father. However, their relationship did not withstand the test of time, and after the birth of their three sons, he left her. Left to navigate the journey of motherhood alone, Wilma courageously raised her children single-handedly.

Norris expressed deep admiration for his mother, stating, “Mom has been an embodiment of perseverance and unwavering faith throughout her entire life.” He continued, “She has experienced the heart-wrenching losses of two husbands, a stepson, two grandchildren, and my younger brother Wieland in the Vietnam War. Despite battling cancer multiple times and enduring approximately 30 surgeries for various health challenges, she remains resilient and continues to share her remarkable story.”

Norris attributes a significant portion of his life’s achievements to his mother’s influence and unwavering support.

“My mother’s prayers have been with me every step of the way, in good times and bad,” he expressed. “From the moment I was born and faced life-threatening complications, to the times when I was tempted and lost in the world of Hollywood, she remained back home, fervently praying for my success and salvation. She even prayed for me to find a woman who would transform my life, and her prayers were answered.”

Chuck Norris considers himself fortunate, and we share in that sentiment as his life continues to take a positive course. While he may have primarily taken on minor roles since 2012, we eagerly anticipate seeing him in larger projects in the future.
