“Always amazed by the effort that goes into organizing such a spectacular afternoon.”

In another video released yesterday, we get a glimpse of the heartwarming scene just moments before the group departed. Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince George, 10, are seen waiting nervously in the doorway while Kate gently smooths her daughter’s hair.

Charlotte appears restless, clasping her hands in front of her and whispering a few words to her mother as they watch the carriage approach.

As the royals move in sync towards their seats, Charlotte takes a deep breath, while Kate tenderly holds her hand.

Supported by her family, she waits eagerly in the carriage before departure, smiling happily through the window as they chat together inside.

Louis, seemingly unfazed by any nerves, lounges casually against the wall in shorts and a smart jacket.

The little prince stole the spotlight once more at Trooping the Colour, caught yawning, attempting to open a window, and dancing to the military music, while the princess and her young family observed the grandeur of Horse Guards Parade.

Additional scenes from the clip show the Wales family waving from the Buckingham Palace balcony, alongside footage of the King and Queen departing in their carriage.

Prince William was also proudly seated at attention on horseback while his father gave the royal salute, accompanied by the roaring Red Arrows over the royal residence.

Despite undergoing ongoing chemotherapy for several months, the princess joined the family occasion on the national stage, keeping a watchful eye on her children.

Her appearance was uncertain after missing the final Trooping rehearsal last weekend, but with the King also battling cancer, the spectacle of military splendor and pageantry served as a symbolic statement by the monarchy after a period of uncertainty.

Throughout the day, she was surrounded by other family members, including her husband, the Prince of Wales, who serves as Colonel of the Welsh Guards on horseback, alongside the Princess Royal, Colonel of the Blues and Royals, and the Duke of Edinburgh, Colonel of the Scots Guards.

The King also rode in a carriage with the Queen, a departure from last year due to his illness. From the coach, he inspected the officers and guardsmen on Horse Guards Parade in Whitehall, a change from his usual inspection on horseback.

Garrison Sergeant Major Stokes, who helped plan Trooping, praised Kate, stating: “I think it’s wonderful that the Princess of Wales attended today. It’s perhaps the only day we see the entire royal family together in public, and I believe the royal family truly values this day as well. It’s the closest thing we have in the United Kingdom to a national day, so all of that makes it incredibly special.”

Kate and other members of the royal family received cheers as they were initially seen on The Mall, making their way to Trooping the Colour. Carol and Brian Haddow from Scotland were among the thousands eagerly waiting to catch a glimpse of the royal family.

Louis steals the show: Royal unimpressed by Trooping the Colour.

Mrs. Haddow commented, “Like anyone going through chemotherapy, it’s a significant step for her to come out and participate. We were a bit further back, but she appeared fine, happy to be involved, and she was with the kids.”

She emphasized the royal family’s role in boosting tourism, stating, “Having a king or queen is a great asset for the country.”

In a statement on Friday, Kate mentioned she was progressing well with her treatment but honestly acknowledged experiencing “good days and bad days.” Despite working from home, she admitted, “I am not completely out of the woods yet.”

The outpouring of public support deeply touched the princess, who expressed being “overwhelmed” by the “kind messages” that made a “world of difference to William and me, helping us through some of the tougher times.”

In a departure from the previous year, Kate opted not to join senior family members on a dais but instead watched the event with her children from the Duke of Wellington’s former office.

During the military spectacle, Louis was spotted yawning as he observed the ceremony from the historic building overlooking the parade ground. Later, the young royal delighted in dancing along during the quick march of the Scots Guards to Highland Laddie.

Trooping the Colour is not only a ceremonial event but also a social occasion. The stands overlooking the parade ground were filled with approximately 8,000 spouses, girlfriends, and parents of the guardsmen and officers on parade.

The event included more than 1,250 soldiers, with hundreds of guardsmen standing in two rows inspected by the King from his carriage alongside Camilla, Colonel of the Grenadier Guards. They were followed by the mounted royal Colonels.

The colour, or regimental flag, trooped in front of the soldiers was the King’s Colour of the 9th company, Irish Guards—the regiment where Kate serves as Colonel.

Dark clouds threatened rain, but fortunately, the downpour held off until after the royal family departed in carriages for their balcony appearance to watch the fly-past. The rain ceased just as the first jets roared overhead, with the Red Arrows providing the grand finale.

During the aerial display, William was photographed affectionately pulling Louis’ ears, while Kate looked on with a grin. When the national anthem played, big sister Charlotte nudged her younger sibling to stand still.

Kate’s presence marked the family occasion, and she is not expected to resume full-time royal duties until she has fully recovered.
