Emmy-winning actor Alec Baldwin, 67, reportedly crashed his Range Rover into a tree in the Hamptons on Monday while riding with his brother, according to photos obtained by The Post. Baldwin was seen at the scene looking disheveled and frustrated, making a phone call with his hands in his pockets.

The actor’s white Range Rover suffered significant front-end damage after colliding head-on with a tree along Montauk Highway in East Hampton, where Baldwin owns a luxury summer home. Police arrived promptly to assist him and his companion as they sought shelter from the pouring rain. The Post has contacted the East Hampton Police Department for confirmation.
The actor was in the Hamptons for the Hamptons International Film Festival, which took place from October 5 to 13. Baldwin serves as co-chair of the festival’s Board Executive Committee.
“He has been out there all week, attending films and moderating panels,” a source told Page Six.
Baldwin later addressed the accident in an Instagram video, admitting that the Range Rover he crashed actually belonged to his wife, Hilaria.
Baldwin, who owns a home in East Hampton, NY, appeared in the same clothes he wore during the crash as he gave a lengthy and rambling explanation of the incident. He blamed the accident on a “garbage truck the size of a whale” that he said cut him off.
“To avoid hitting him, I hit a tree, I hit a big, fat tree and crushed my car – my wife’s car. I crushed my wife’s car. I feel bad about that. But it’s all fine, I’m fine, and my brother’s fine,” Baldwin said.
He also expressed gratitude to the responding authorities, singling out “Officer Gerken” of the East Hampton Police Department. “As nice as can be, as pleasant as can be about the whole thing,” Baldwin praised the officer.

His update mixed details of the crash with a final round of congratulations to those involved in the film festival—and unexpectedly, a shout-out to his wife, Hilaria, who was recently eliminated from Dancing With The Stars. “Hilaria, I love you more than anything. I’m very proud of you,” he said, though it was unclear what specifically he was referring to.
Baldwin, who celebrated 40 years of sobriety in May, has a long history of stirring up trouble in the Hamptons since moving there in the early 1980s. He has also attempted, unsuccessfully, to sell his East Hampton home.
The Post contacted the East Hampton Police Department for comment.
In January 2024, Baldwin slashed $10 million off the original listing price of his East Hampton home, which had seen little interest despite months on the market. He first purchased the lavish property in 1995 and completed two major renovations.
The 10-acre beachfront farmhouse went on the market less than a year after the Rust incident, in which a prop gun he handled accidentally killed a cinematographer. Baldwin denied pulling the trigger of the live-loaded prop gun, and the case against him was dismissed in July 2024.
Originally asking $29 million for the property, Baldwin pulled it off the market in July 2024 and began filming the TLC reality show The Baldwins there. Representatives for Baldwin did not respond to requests for comment
