Actor Corey Feldman was hospitalized after experiencing a medical emergency aboard a flight traveling from Chicago to Los Angeles.
According to reports, the 54-year-old actor required medical assistance shortly after his plane landed at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) on Monday afternoon. Emergency responders met the aircraft upon arrival and transported Feldman to a nearby hospital for evaluation and treatment.
A spokesperson for the Los Angeles Fire Department confirmed that personnel responded to the airport to assist an adult male passenger and subsequently arranged his transfer to a local medical facility.
Representatives for Feldman have not yet publicly commented on the incident.
The “Goonies” star, pictured here in January 2026, reportedly began feeling unwell during a flight from Chicago to Los Angeles and was taken to a hospital after the plane landed at LAX. According to TMZ, a fellow passenger who is a physician examined Feldman while the flight was in the air.
Sources told the outlet that doctors are evaluating whether the actor’s symptoms may be linked to pancreatitis or gallstones. Pancreatitis is a condition involving inflammation of the pancreas, while gallstones are hardened deposits that form in the gallbladder and can trigger severe pain if they block the flow of bile.
Feldman had been in Chicago over the weekend for an anniversary event celebrating the classic coming-of-age film “Stand By Me.”
Feldman joined former co-stars Jerry O’Connell and Wil Wheaton at “Stand By Me: The Film and Its Stars 40 Years Later,” held Sunday evening at The Chicago Theatre. Their fellow cast member, River Phoenix, died of a drug overdose in October 1993 at the age of 23.
Hours before the event, Feldman shared a series of photos and videos on social media documenting his road trip to Chicago. During the journey, he made a stop at Michael Jackson’s childhood home in Gary, Indiana, describing the visit as a way to pay tribute to the late pop icon.
The actor noted that the visit coincided with an anniversary related to Jackson’s passing and said he wanted to “pay respects” to the legendary performer. Jackson died in June 2009 at age 50 after suffering cardiac arrest linked to acute drug intoxication.
In one of the videos, Feldman appeared excited about the upcoming event, telling fans he was on his way to Chicago and looking forward to a packed evening with thousands of attendees expected to be there.
In a video shared on Instagram before the event, Feldman told fans he was heading to Chicago to “tear it up” at the “Stand By Me” celebration and predicted it was “gonna be a great night.” He closed the clip by wishing his followers “God bless” and sending a message of “peace and love.”
In the caption accompanying the post, Feldman suggested that the anniversary tour may not be over just yet. Although he described the Chicago appearance as “sadly” the final scheduled stop, he hinted that additional dates could be added in the coming months due to strong fan turnout and continued interest.
Earlier this year, Feldman also spoke about feeling disappointed after being left out of a tribute honoring filmmaker Rob Reiner at the 2026 Academy Awards. The actor said the omission felt somewhat like “a family reunion” he was not invited to attend.
While Feldman was absent from the tribute, his former “Stand By Me” co-stars Jerry O’Connell and Wil Wheaton were present to honor Reiner and his wife, Michele Singer-Reiner. Reflecting on the event, Feldman said he believed O’Connell and Wheaton represented the cast well and added that he did not feel he had missed out on much.
