Guy Fieri is pushing back after being seen warmly greeting controversial influencers Andrew Tate and Tristan Tate at a UFC fight, saying he had no idea who the brothers were at the time.
The celebrity chef was photographed briefly embracing the duo—who have faced allegations of rape and human trafficking in recent years—during UFC 327 at Kaseya Center in Miami on April 11. The event also attracted several high-profile guests, including President Trump. Photos and video clips circulating on social media show Fieri shaking hands with Andrew Tate and exchanging a shoulder bump during the encounter.

Fieri was seen smiling as he shook hands with the controversial influencers during the encounter at UFC 327.
Following criticism that he was associating with the polarizing figures, Fieri responded on Tuesday with a statement on X, firmly denying any prior knowledge of the brothers.
“I’m seeing all of your comments about the photo from Saturday’s UFC event and all I can say is that I’m devastated,” Fieri wrote on X.
“I was there to see the fights and when I was walking through the venue, the Tate brothers stood up and said hello and that’s when the exchange happened. I did not know them or about them before that moment.”
