Fans are closely watching the latest moment between Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet.

The couple was caught on camera chatting during the 2026 Oscars on Sunday night in a video obtained by E! News. According to a professional lip reader, the actor appeared to make a surprisingly candid confession to his girlfriend, allegedly telling her, “I hate this.”

Lip reader Nicola Hickling told the Daily Mail on Monday that Jenner seemingly reassured him, responding, “We’re all right, OK?”

Chalamet reportedly replied, “Yeah,” before the beauty mogul added, “I hope so.”

Hickling also claimed the “Marty Supreme” star later told Jenner, “Tonight, I need a big cuddle.”

Actor Timothée Chalamet was apparently less than thrilled in the moment. According to lip reader Nicola Hickling, who spoke to the Daily Mail, he seemed to tell Kylie Jenner, “I hate this.”

Representatives for Chalamet and Jenner did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.

The brief exchange appeared to take place shortly before Chalamet lost the Best Actor award to “Sinners” star Michael B. Jordan.

The “Marty Supreme” star reportedly added that he would “need a cuddle” later in the evening.

Meanwhile, Michael B. Jordan, 39, ultimately took home the Best Actor trophy, beating out fellow nominees Timothée Chalamet, Leonardo DiCaprio for One Battle After Another, Wagner Moura for The Secret Agent and Ethan Hawke for Blue Moon.

The Friday Night Lights alum had already built momentum this awards season, winning the same category at the Actor Awards. Chalamet, however, scored major victories earlier in the year at the Golden Globe Awards and the Critics Choice Awards.

Chalamet — who previously made headlines for sweetly thanking Kylie Jenner in earlier acceptance speeches — appeared to say “yay” when Jordan’s name was announced at the Academy Awards.

Meanwhile, Travis ScottKylie Jenner’s ex-boyfriend and the father of her two children — seemingly took a jab at Chalamet by posting an Instagram Story showing Jordan accepting the trophy.

Despite the loss, Chalamet appeared in good spirits later at the Vanity Fair Oscars Party, where he and Jenner, 28, were seen packing on the PDA.

The Dune star’s Oscars campaign had recently faced controversy after comments he made about ballet and opera. During a February town hall event that aired on CNN, Chalamet remarked that “no one cares” about those art forms.

He was also the butt of host Conan O’Brien’s joke about ballet and opera communities threatening the event.

Timothée Chalamet notably went viral last month after claiming that “no one cares” about ballet and opera as art forms.

Similar comments he made in 2019 also resurfaced online, further fueling the backlash.

While Chalamet has yet to publicly address the controversy, his remarks have drawn criticism from the co-hosts of The View, been mocked on Jeopardy! and prompted a response from renowned ballerina Misty Copeland.

During the ceremony, Conan O’Brien — who hosted the Academy Awards — even joked about the uproar, quipping, “Security is extremely tight tonight… there’s concerns from attacks from both the opera and ballet communities.” 🎭🎬
