Gracie Hunt, daughter of Kansas City Chiefs owner Clark Hunt, praised Erika Kirk and Turning Point USA for their efforts to organize an alternative Super Bowl halftime show in response to Bad Bunny’s performance.

The Grammy-winning artist was announced earlier this year as the 2026 Super Bowl halftime show performer, drawing criticism from some over his remarks about U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents.

Speaking on Fox News Channel’s The Will Cain Show, Hunt commended Kirk for her leadership of young American women and said she was “most definitely” looking forward to Turning Point USA’s alternative show.

“I really respect Erika for everything she’s accomplished, especially in creating a halftime show for America. Children are young and impressionable—young women, young men, everyone needs someone to look up to,” Hunt said.

“As someone who doesn’t yet have young children of my own, I can’t imagine how challenging that must be. But I think she’s done an incredible job leading Turning Point, guiding young women, and offering an alternative for young Americans. Football is becoming a global sport, but at its heart, it’s America’s sport, built around family.

“When my grandfather named the Super Bowl, he envisioned it as an event where children and families of all ages could come together. He believed the game itself should be the main attraction and didn’t think it needed to compromise its character or rely on cheap gimmicks to draw an audience—especially when that approach could alienate so many fans.”

Bad Bunny is set to perform at the 2026 Super Bowl halftime show.

“The NFL honors women, the military, this country, and celebrates communities. I think whoever is chosen for future halftime shows should reflect those values more closely. I respect Erika for that,” Hunt said.

She also shared her wish to see artists like Jason Aldean or Taylor Swift perform at a future Super Bowl halftime show.

“I think our generation gets a bad rap, but I’m so encouraged by the movement I’m seeing among younger people,” Hunt said. “They’re searching for a deeper ‘why.’ They’re hungry for Jesus. November is global Bible month, and Bible sales are up.

“I’m witnessing a remarkable resurgence among young women and men on college campuses—getting baptized, sharing the Gospel, and striving to leave this world a better place.”
