A Texas woman, Stephanie Arevalo, 34, faces charges for shooting her husband upon catching him with another woman. Bryan Police Department detained Arevalo after she allegedly fired at her husband’s leg in response to discovering his infidelity. The incident occurred on Woodbend Drive, situated between Conquest Circle and Creekwood Drive in Bryan.
As reported by KBTX, the accused also reportedly threatened the woman discovered with her husband with a firearm, though she did not follow through. The victim, unnamed by officials, received treatment for the non-life-threatening injury and was discharged from a nearby hospital.
Stephanie Arevalo, aged 34, was apprehended by the Bryan Police Department following allegations that she discharged a firearm at her husband’s leg upon catching him in the act of infidelity with an unidentified woman.
Injured, she was conscious of the inevitable consequence: incarceration.
Police later reported that Arevalo herself dialed 911 and remained at the scene until their arrival. Allegedly, she admitted to authorities that her husband deserved the gunshot wound and understood the consequence of her actions leading to jail time. Arevalo was then processed at the Brazos County Sheriff’s Office and charged with Aggravated Assault/Family Violence with a Deadly Weapon. She was released on bond two days later.
However, Arevalo’s case is not unique. Nicole Denison, a 29-year-old Allegiant Air flight attendant, experienced a similar situation in July 2020. Upon returning home in Safety Harbor, near Tampa, Denison discovered her husband engaging in sexual activity with another woman. According to police records obtained by The Smoking Gun, Denison allegedly struck her 34-year-old husband in the left eye, resulting in a black eye.
Reportedly, Arevalo also issued a threat to shoot the woman discovered with her husband but refrained from carrying out the act.
She was formally processed at the Brazos County Sheriff’s Office and faced charges of Aggravated Assault/Family Violence with a Deadly Weapon before being subsequently released.

The couple, consisting of Nicole Denison, a bartender and fitness instructor, and her husband, had been married for almost three years.
During her outburst, Denison also scratched her husband’s forehead and caused a bruise on his right arm.
In her fury, Denison grabbed her husband’s acoustic guitar and violently smashed it against the wall, resulting in a sizable hole.
Following the incident, she was arrested and faced charges of domestic battery, classified as a misdemeanor, but was released the following day.
As of now, a court date for Arevalo has not been scheduled.
