Tori Spelling’s home has reached a “borderline hoarder” level, according to her podcast co-host Amy Sugarman.
The pair openly discussed the condition of Spelling’s house during Friday’s episode of misSPELLING. Spelling revealed she had been sidelined by an illness for eight weeks, forcing her to stop working. Sugarman suggested that Spelling’s “disorganized” lifestyle may be contributing to her frequent health issues.
Sugarman described the home as “messy” and said Spelling has an “extreme” difficulty letting go of belongings.
Spelling acknowledged feeling overwhelmed while caring for her five children, whom she shares with ex-husband Dean McDermott. She also admitted that her living room had effectively become a “gifting suite,” prompting Sugarman to ask her to take a photo of the space and send it to her.
Tori Spelling opened up about the state of her home on her podcast, “misSPELLING.”
Her podcast co-host, Amy Sugarman, described the actress’ home as “borderline hoarder” and suggested the clutter may be affecting Spelling’s health after seeing a photo of the space.
“Tori, this is not good,” Sugarman said, pointing out that Spelling’s Christmas tree was still up.
“You can see the bones in here — the shelves could be really pretty, the living room could be really pretty. You have beautiful things,” she continued. “You can’t even sit in there.”
“Like, it’s borderline hoarder. I’m not gonna lie.”
Spelling acknowledged the situation, admitting, “Yeah, it’s all just sitting here in piles.”
Spelling admitted she has felt overwhelmed while caring for her five children, whom she shares with ex-husband Dean McDermott.
Sugarman said Spelling currently has “400 stacks of s–t in the house right now,” adding, “This seems to, like, really be a problem.”
While Spelling maintained that the living room was the most cluttered area of the house, she conceded she wouldn’t invite anyone over — even if the president of iHeartRadio asked for a meeting at her home.
“I stopped having people over,” the Beverly Hills, 90210 alum said.
Spelling and McDermott split in June 2023 and continue to maintain an amicable co-parenting relationship.
Spelling noted that when she and McDermott were married and living together, their home was always “presentable” because “he wouldn’t live like that.” She added that she also had help at the time.
Sugarman pushed back, telling her, “I do think you need help. This is like chaos. … I think it all contributes to why you could not work for two months.”
The former couple share five children: Liam, 18, Stella, 17, Hattie, 14, Finn, 13, and Beau, 8. They ended their nearly 18-year marriage in June 2023.
Court documents from their finalized divorce revealed in November that the exes owe more than $1.7 million in unpaid federal and state taxes.
