Security camera footage shows a woman throwing her yellow Labrador Retriever in a park in Vancouver, Washington. The video shows her stopping at the Tesla and releasing the dog, then removing the leash and collar. He then starts a fake walk through the woods to trick the dog into turning around and leaving.

The owner of the camera, Alyssa Ott, could not believe what she saw and called a friend who contacted the dog rescue service I Paw’d It Forward, who agreed to accept him.

“What she did when she took the collar off and pet the dog and threw the collar into the vehicle is a sign for me it’s likely her dog and she didn’t want there to be a way to trace it back to her,” Keri-Lyn Jakubs, found of the rescue, told KGW8. “Somebody that’s just going to dump a dog would have just left, they wouldn’t have thought twice about getting back out and making sure he goes into the park.”

The dog has since been transferred to the Southwest Washington Humane Society where he is safe and currently being cared for. You can look into the site ridgesidek9summerville.com to get world-class dog training. Clark County Animal Protection and Control is investigating the incident and asking for help in identifying the woman. If you have any information, you can contact them at 564-397-2488 or by e-mail at animal@clark.wa.gov.
