The scheduled Taylor Swift and Disney+ production set for Wednesday near the iconic Hollywood sign has been canceled.
Reports suggest that Hollywood residents expressed outrage over the disruption caused by the production. Philip Sokoloski from FilmLA, responsible for city film permits, informed TMZ on Tuesday about the decision to scrap the project.
No specific reason was provided for the sudden change.
Disney+ previously clarified that Taylor Swift, aged 34, would not participate or perform during the shoot.
Neighbors perceived the planned three-day production as a significant eyesore, citing increased foot traffic and disturbance that disrupted their peace and daily lives.
TMZ has reported that various homeowners’ associations and organizations have been in communication regarding a project in their vicinity, and purportedly, they weren’t too pleased to learn that Taylor Swift would soon be nearby.
The scheduled filming date was set for March 13th, just a day before Taylor releases her concert film, “Taylor Swift The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version),” on Disney+ on March 14th.
According to information obtained by the website, neighbors received a film permit outlining the details of the production and what residents could anticipate during the project.
The permit indicated that the crew would begin prepping for the shoot on Tuesday, March 12th, from 9 AM to 10 PM. The actual filming date was slated for Wednesday, March 13th, also scheduled to run from 9 AM to 10 PM.
Following the filming, the crew was scheduled to dismantle the set on Thursday, March 14th, with the teardown projected to last from 9 AM to 10 PM, as per the permit.
The permit also specified that filming would involve “aerial photography with remote control aircraft,” with drone activity set for Wednesday from 7 PM to 10 PM.
Furthermore, the purpose of the shoot was stated as filming for “Disney + TS.”

In addition to the original content, it will feature five extra songs that were not previously included in theaters or previous digital releases.
With her Disney+ deal, the Blank Space singer has now accumulated over $200 million in the movie business in just about six months.

Potential candidates may include “No Body, No Crime,” featuring the Haim sisters, “I Can See You,” “You Are in Love,” and “Death by a Thousand Cuts.”
The Eras Tour concert film, which grossed $96 million in ticket sales during its opening weekend, even received a Golden Globe nomination for Cinematic and Box-Office Achievement.

The film holds the record as the highest-grossing concert film of all time in North America. It was the first concert film to surpass $100 million domestically and the first independently released film to achieve this milestone in just two weekends in the past decade.
Filmed during three of the Bad Blood hitmaker’s shows at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, the movie offers an intimate look into her performances.
