Who says blondes have all the fun?
Sydney Sweeney traded her signature blonde locks for a dramatic new look while enjoying a low-key outing at the Santa Monica Pier.
The 29-year-old “Euphoria” actress went nearly unrecognizable in a dark brown wig with bangs, allowing her to blend in with the crowd.
Sweeney credited her friend Jayde Emory Hafner for the undercover transformation, sharing a series of photos from their adventure on Instagram.
“when ur bestie shows up and says ‘here put this wig on’ 😂🥰,” she captioned the playful snaps.
Sweeney kept things casual in a souvenir T-shirt and denim shorts as she attempted to blend in with the crowds at the popular seaside attraction.
The actress and her friend spent the day playing arcade games, snapping selfies on rides and grabbing chicken tenders and fries before enjoying some sunshine.
For the outing, the “Euphoria” star sported a Santa Monica souvenir tee, denim shorts and white sneakers. However, her luxurious accessories — oversized diamond studs, $615 Bottega Veneta sunglasses and a bag from The Row — may have made her less inconspicuous.
In a video shared from their adventure, Sweeney also put her strength to the test by taking on the “Hang Time” challenge, hanging from a pull-up bar for an impressive 60 seconds.
Sweeney previously rocked a black bob at the 2024 Met Gala, but her latest hair transformation had fans doing a double take.
“That you Hannah Montana?” one Instagram user joked, while another admitted, “I didn’t even recognize her.”
Hafner’s husband also joined in on the fun, quipping, “A couple of small town sisters on their big California vacation 🎡😆”
The brunette makeover isn’t entirely new territory for Sweeney. She previously sported a brown mullet wig while filming her boxing biopic “Christy” and turned heads with a sleek black bob at the 2024 Met Gala.
Her biggest real-life hair transformation came last October, when she chopped off her long blonde locks in favor of a chic, chin-length cut.
Since then, her signature long, wavy blonde hair has returned — and judging by her Instagram caption, the dark brown wig and bangs were just a temporary disguise.
