A female skier was mauled by a snow leopard after approaching the animal to take a photo, with disturbing video showing her being led away as blood streamed from her face.
The footage, recorded Friday evening in Fuyun County near China’s northern border with Mongolia, shows the victim lying face-down in the snow wearing a purple ski suit following the attack.
She is later seen being escorted from the scene, her face visibly bloodied after the encounter.

A snow leopard attacked a skier in rural China after the tourist approached the rare big cat to take a photo, reportedly getting within 10 feet of the animal.
The incident occurred after the skier spotted the snow leopard resting in the snow. A ski instructor eventually drove the animal away by waving his poles, according to local reports.
The victim was protected from more serious injuries by her ski helmet but was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. She was later reported to be in stable condition.
The attack comes amid warnings from Chinese authorities, who have alerted visitors to multiple recent snow leopard sightings in the area.
