On the surface, The Kingdom Tenors appeared to be a group of easily dismissible men, all remarkably handsome and impeccably dressed in sharp suits. The ladies in the audience were swooning, but Simon held the belief that they were mere attractive faces without much singing talent.
Their choice of song didn’t do them any favors. The lead singer mentioned they had chosen “You Raise Me Up,” an epic ballad made famous by Josh Groban. The spiritual themes of the hymn felt more poignant than ever, leaving not a single dry eye in the house!
Simon had to concede that he was mistaken, a significant achievement in its own right. He commended their vocal prowess and expressed his genuine admiration. The Kingdom Tenors were visibly appreciative, knowing that not everyone can render Simon Cowell speechless!
