Peter Phillips, the grandson of Queen Elizabeth II, has married again after tying the knot with Harriet Sperling in an intimate ceremony on Saturday.
The couple exchanged vows at All Saints Church in Kemble, located in the Cotswolds region of Gloucestershire, England, according to People.
The wedding was attended by senior members of the royal family, including King Charles and Queen Camilla, Prince William and Kate Middleton, as well as Prince Edward and Sophie, marking a rare gathering of the British royal family for the occasion.
Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling (pictured together at their wedding) were married on Saturday in a private ceremony held at All Saints Church.
The marriage marks a second wedding for both Peter and Harriet. Peter was previously married to Autumn Kelly from 2008 until 2020, while Harriet was formerly married to fitness instructor Antonio St. John Sperling.
Among the guests in attendance were Peter’s mother, Princess Anne, and her husband Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence, as well as his sister Zara Tindall and her husband Mike Tindall.
However, Prince Harry, along with Andrew Mountbatten Windsor and his former wife Sarah Ferguson, were notably not invited to the family celebration.
Earlier this week, royal commentator Emily Nash exclusively told Page Six that Harry’s absence was due to a lack of a close relationship with Peter, 48.
The couple said “I do” in front of several members of the royal family, including King Charles and Queen Camilla (pictured above arriving at the wedding).
Prince William and Kate Middleton (seen above) were also in attendance, while William’s brother, Prince Harry, was notably absent from the event.
Royal commentator Emily Nash explained the decision, saying, “I think it comes down to interpersonal relationships, doesn’t it? What we were told was that Peter hadn’t spoken to Harry for the last few years, and so it has been a natural cooling off and he wasn’t invited as a result.”
Despite the absence, Nash noted that Peter remains “very close” to Prince Harry. “He’s very loyal; he’s very protective. He’s been a very good sounding board to his cousin over the years,” she said.
She added, “So it absolutely makes sense that I think had both Wales brothers been there, it would have put a completely different slant on the whole event.
A royal commentator exclusively told Page Six that Prince Harry was not invited to the wedding because “Peter hadn’t spoken to Harry for the last few years.”
Peter is a father to two daughters, Savannah Phillips and Isla Phillips, while Harriet is a mother to her daughter, Georgina Sperling — all three of whom attended the wedding and served as Harriet’s bridesmaids.
“And that’s not what you want on what should be the happiest day of your life, right?” she added.
Peter was previously married to Autumn Kelly from 2008 until their separation in 2020, becoming the first of Queen Elizabeth II’s grandchildren to remarry. He shares daughters Savannah, 15, and Isla, 14, with Kelly.
Harriet was also previously married to fitness instructor Antonio St. John Sperling, with whom she shares 13-year-old Georgina.
