An anonymous Oscar voter has weighed in on why Wicked: For Good — along with its lead stars Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo — received zero nominations at the 2026 Oscars.

“The movie wasn’t that great,” the voter told NewsNation over the weekend. “The two have amazing on-screen chemistry, but they spent most of the film apart.”

“I was also completely turned off by their promotional performances,” the Academy member added. “They creeped a lot of people out and, in their rush to feel authentic, came off as cosplaying.”

Another Oscar voter claimed the two actresses “sucked the air out of every red carpet they were on — and no one wanted to go through that again.”

The Post has reached out to representatives for Erivo and Grande for comment.
