First Lady Melania Trump expressed deep sorrow over the fact that Charlie Kirk’s young son and daughter will grow up without their father in an emotional social media post on Wednesday, following the shocking assassination of the conservative activist.
“Charlie’s children will grow up with stories instead of shared memories, photographs instead of laughter, and silence where their father’s voice should have been,” the First Lady wrote on X.
“Charlie Kirk’s life stands as a poignant reminder that empathy and compassion strengthen family, love, and country.”

Charlie Kirk, 31, was the founder and CEO of Turning Point USA, an organization closely tied to President Trump’s “Make America Great Again” movement.
He was shot in the neck on Wednesday at Utah Valley University while hosting the kickoff event for his “American Comeback Tour,” a series of campus speaking engagements.
The shooter remains at large.
Kirk was the father of two young children: a son who turned 1 in May and a daughter who turned 3 in August.
His wife, Erika Frantzve, often shared photos on social media of Kirk spending time with their children.
Frantzve, a model, ministry leader, former NCAA women’s basketball player, and winner of the 2012 Miss Arizona pageant, married Kirk in 2021.
