Sarandos, according to sources, allegedly wouldn’t sit in for a call with Markle (seen above in her series “With Love, Meghan”) unless a lawyer was present.
However, a source told Page Six that Meghan Markle maintains a strong working relationship with Ted Sarandos — seen above at the 2026 Actor Awards — and chief content officer Bela Bajaria.
“This is blatantly false,” Markle’s attorney, Michael J. Kump, told Variety. “In fact, Meghan texts and speaks with Mr. Sarandos regularly, and has been to his home, sans lawyers.”
While the report claimed that Bela Bajaria had “grown weary” of working with the couple, Bajaria herself told Variety that she has “really enjoyed” collaborating with the Sussexes.
“They’re deeply engaged in the storytelling process and bring a unique, global perspective that aligns with the kinds of impactful projects our members respond to,” Bajaria said.
A source also reiterated to Page Six that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have a positive working relationship with both Ted Sarandos and Bela Bajaria.
Elsewhere in the Variety report, sources alleged that A-list talent and directors are “hesitant” to work with the couple.
Page Six has reached out to the Sussexes and Netflix for comment.
The Sussexes — Meghan Markle and Prince Harry — (seen above during their interview with Oprah Winfrey) negotiated a lucrative deal with Netflix in 2020.
The couple originally secured a reported $100 million agreement with Netflix through their production company, Archewell Productions, after stepping back from royal duties that same year.
Under the deal, they released projects including their hit 2023 docuseries Harry & Meghan, the underperforming polo-themed documentary “Polo,” and Meghan Markle’s lifestyle series With Love, Meghan, which was critically panned. Page Six previously reported that the show would not return for a third season amid declining ratings.
Last August, it was reported that the couple extended their partnership with Netflix — though for a sum said to be “much” lower than their original deal.
However, a source told Page Six that Netflix’s deal with Archewell Productions remains in a strong position, with multiple projects currently in development.
The Sussexes — Meghan Markle and Prince Harry — had previously been working on several projects, including adaptations of the books Meet Me at the Lake and The Wedding Date, before Netflix parted ways with Markle’s lifestyle brand, As Ever.
The source reiterated that the couple still has a mix of scripted and unscripted projects in development under their ongoing deal with Netflix.
A Netflix spokesperson told Page Six on March 6 that “it was always intended” for the As Ever founder to continue growing the brand independently into its next phase.
Meanwhile, a representative for As Ever told Page Six that the company “is grateful for Netflix’s partnership” and “is now ready to stand on its own.”
