Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are helping instill positive values in their children.
The couple brought Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4, to join them while volunteering with Markle’s Archewell Foundation and Our Big Kitchen Los Angeles (OBKLA), a nonprofit that provides meals to Angelenos facing food insecurity.

In June, Markle explained on the Aspire with Emma Grede podcast, “We grow a lot of veggies, and part of what I want the kids to learn—and gardening is so great for children—is patience, and how to value and appreciate their food. You start from seed, watch it grow, and they wait. Then it becomes, now do you want to sell your harvest? Do you want to share it with our community?”

She added, “I think it’s important for children to understand that, especially those fortunate enough to grow up in a home with privilege. Just like manners and taking care of the things around you, everything has value.”

Beyond volunteering ahead of Thanksgiving, Markle is also preparing for the holiday itself.

On her Instagram Stories, she posted a video of herself seasoning an uncooked turkey with the caption, “Let the ‘game’ begin. Get it? #momjokes.”

She previously told Marie Claire in November 2024, “I think it’s essential to always make room at the table for friends who don’t have family.”

Markle also shared her excitement about creating memories with her children as they grow older. “Now we’re at the age where I just can’t wait to see it through their lens every year,” she said. “We’re always making sure we have something fun to do.”

Last week, Markle revealed in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar that Gloria Steinem was once her Thanksgiving guest. “I’ve just always admired her,” she told the outlet.

Meanwhile, Markle’s new Netflix holiday special, With Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration, is set to stream on Dec. 3. In the trailer, the Montecito resident continues to spread holiday magic for her little ones.

She set out snacks for Santa and his reindeer and even wrote a note from Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet on a mug. The message, addressed to “Santa,” included glimpses of the words “have been good” and “travel safely,” and was signed, “XO, Archie and Lili.”

In the kitchen, Markle shared a sweet moment with Prince Harry, pulling him in for a kiss. “It’s pretty jolly in here,” she exclaimed later in the trailer.

She was also seen decorating, cooking, strolling through a Christmas tree farm, and demonstrating various DIY techniques.

“I love the holiday season,” Markle said. “It’s about finding time to connect with the people we love, embracing traditions, and making new ones.”

In October, the mom of two spoke about the future of her show. “Well, the holiday special is coming out in November. It’s a really good one,” she told the audience at Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Summit in Washington, D.C. “Looking at the format—again, it’s a year of learning—we can say, ‘Eight episodes for two seasons—it’s a lot of work.’”

Markle’s lifestyle brand, As Ever, is also launching its first-ever holiday collection, featuring signature spreads, candles, and sparkling wines.

Despite returning for a third season on Netflix, the first season of With Love, Meghan faced criticism when it debuted in March, and the August premiere of season two received similarly mixed reviews.

Markle also recently made headlines for attending Kris Jenner’s star-studded 70th birthday celebration earlier this month. She reportedly asked Jenner and Kim Kardashian to remove photos of her and Prince Harry from the party. Kardashian was said to be “pissed” by the request.

“It’s so tacky,” a palace insider told Page Six. “It truly shows that Harry is so far removed from the rest of the family. These people may be stars in America, but the pure ostentatiousness is at odds with what Prince William is trying to do with his life and the monarchy.”
