We have seen people putting their lives in danger to save the life of an animal, but we rarely see an animal saving a human. Well, this is not the case with a russian homeless cat, Masha, who saved the life of an abandoned baby in Obninsk, Russia.
Masha, who lives only in a box, discovered the baby and decided to cuddle and shield it against the freezing temperatures of Russia.
Inhabitants discovered the 12-week old child sleeping on the floor of an apartment complex entrance way as reported by Agence France Presse. They were attracted to the scene from Masha’s meows and found the cat with the crying baby.
“[Masha] is very placid and friendly, so when I heard her meowing, I thought that perhaps she had injured herself,” Obninsk resident Irina Lavrova told Central European News. “Normally she would have come and said hello to me. You can imagine my shock when I saw her lying in a box next to a baby.”
When the baby was taken in the ambulance, Masha tried to protect the kid by jumping on the ambulance and running after the ambulance.
Masha became this little baby’s guardian angel. If it wasn’t for Masha the little baby could have frozen to death.
