Have you ever heard someone say that one person cannot make a difference? One man has gone above and beyond, proving how one selfless heart can change countless lives.
The journey began in 2001 in Vietnam, when Tống Phước’s wife was pregnant. It was then that he realized how many babies were being aborted at the hospital. Their lives were stripped from them before they even had a chance to take their first breath.
Broken-hearted, Tong decided that he had to do something. Even if he couldn’t save them, every human deserves respect.
This man who lives in Vietnam saves hundreds of lives by saving babies from abortion. That all started when he took his pregnant wife to a local clinic and saw something interesting. Women were coming in pregnant but leaving with no babies or the pregnancy.
Burial
He decided to ask the clinic if he could give him the aborted children a decent sendoff. He was a construction worker and said he would take some of his saving and buy a small land that he would use to bury the babies.
Going Mad?
At first his wife thought it was madness. However after he had buried over 100,000 babies, she realized that he was trying to send a message to women who still were in doubt of the decision they were about to make.
The Life Saver
Then it happened, pregnant women who were not sure of the decision started to approach him asking for help. He accepted and now gives home to over 100 children. He hopes that the burdened women may come back once they find stability in their life.
Names
Tong found a way to name them. He gave the boys the same name that means honor in Vietnam and all girls the same name that means heart in Vietnam. Then he gave each one their mother’s name combined with his family name as a surname.
Much Love
He vows to continue with this great work until his final breadth. He loves what he had done and the joy of the children has brought much love to his heart.
