Following OJ Simpson’s passing at his Las Vegas residence on Wednesday, Khloé Kardashian’s name swiftly trended on X (formerly Twitter). The news of the retired NFL star’s demise due to prostate cancer, announced two months after his diagnosis, at the age of 76, prompted an outpouring of ‘condolences’ from social media users directed at the 39-year-old reality star. For years, conspiracy theorists have speculated about Kardashian’s biological paternity, often linking her to Simpson. Despite Simpson’s repeated denials of these claims, Kardashian found herself flooded with messages expressing sympathy for her loss, both on her latest Instagram post and across X.
Other mused that the mother-of-two was going to wake up ‘hella confused at people sending her their condolences.’

After OJ Simpson passed away at his Las Vegas residence on Wednesday, Khloé Kardashian’s name quickly became a trending topic on X (formerly known as Twitter).

On Thursday morning, the former Keeping Up With the Kardashians star, along with her mother and former stepfather Caitlyn Jenner, all started trending.
“One X user snarked, ‘Has anyone checked on Khloé Kardashian? She must be devastated about her dad,’ while another offered prayers for the Good American founder ‘during this difficult time.’
In contrast, her former stepfather Caitlyn Jenner bluntly tweeted ‘good riddance’ in response to Simpson’s passing, but Khloé has remained publicly silent on the matter.
Instead, she shared a gym video, flaunting her toned physique in a black tank top and high-waisted leggings from Fabletics. The footage, posted to her Instagram Story, focused on her fit figure, with her face obscured behind her phone.
Khloé, the youngest child of Kris Jenner and the late attorney Robert Kardashian, who famously defended Simpson during his 1995 murder trial, was only nine when Simpson was arrested for the murders of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ronald Goldman.
In a 2009 E! True Hollywood Story, Khloé revealed she used to refer to Simpson as ‘Uncle OJ’ and Brown as ‘Auntie Nicole.’ Jenner was so close to Brown that after her death, she honored her friend by giving her daughter Kendall Jenner the middle name Nicole.”

Despite Simpson repeatedly denying the unfounded rumor over the years, Kardashian found herself bombarded with messages on her latest Instagram post and on X, with trolls claiming to be ‘sorry for’ her loss.

Others speculated that the mother-of-two would wake up feeling ‘totally confused’ by the flood of condolences from people.

“One X user sarcastically commented, ‘She must be devastated about her dad,’ while another expressed intentions to ‘pray’ for the Good American founder ‘during this challenging period.'”

“Has anyone reached out to Khloé Kardashian?” another inquired.

Certain Kardashian supporters noted that the influx of insincere condolences would likely confuse Khloé.
In 2019, Simpson vehemently refuted claims that he was Khloé’s father, countering rumors suggesting she was conceived during a purported fling with her mother in the 1990s, which he adamantly stated never occurred.
“I want to emphasize never – in any way, shape, or form did I ever have any interest in Kris, romantically or sexually, and I never received any indication that she had any interest in me,” Simpson stated in a video shared on X.
He further stated, “So all of these stories are just false. In bad taste.”
Simpson also highlighted his close bond with Robert Kardashian, the late family patriarch who passed away in 2003.

While her former stepfather, Caitlyn Jenner, tweeted ‘good riddance’ shortly after Simpson’s passing, Khloé has remained silent on the matter publicly.
“Khloe, like all the (Kardashian) girls, I’m very proud of, just like I know Bob would be if he was here,” Simpson remarked. “But the simple fact of the matter is she’s not mine.”
Norman Pardo, who claims to have once managed Simpson, has been accused of spreading the rumor about Simpson’s paternity. However, Simpson denied that Pardo ever managed him, dismissing him as someone ‘the media love to say is my manager.’
“I’ve always managed my own affairs, and I’d like to think very successfully,” Simpson asserted. “So, when you see these guys like Norm, and these guys claim that they are my manager, it’s just not true. I may have done a deal here or there with them, but none of these guys were anything remotely like a manager for me.”

During a 2009 episode of E! True Hollywood Story, Khloé revealed that she used to affectionately call Simpson ‘Uncle OJ’ and Brown ‘Auntie Nicole’ (pictured with Kris Jenner and Robert Kardashian).

Kardashian, seen in 1994, is the youngest offspring of Kris Jenner and the late attorney Robert Kardashian, renowned for his defense of Simpson during his 1995 murder trial.

In 1994, Simpson was acquitted of charges related to the killings of his ex-wife Nicole Brown and her friend, Ronald Goldman. However, he was subsequently found liable in a separate civil trial (seen in 1994).
Simpson’s tweet was prompted by Pardo’s assertion that the former Buffalo Bills star once boasted to him about a steamy ‘hot-tub hookup’ with Kris, resulting in her hospitalization due to the size of his manhood.
According to the New York Post, Pardo claimed that Simpson bragged about engaging in a hot tub encounter with Jenner during the 1990s. Pardo made this assertion in his documentary, “Who Killed Nicole?”, referring to Simpson’s ex-wife, whom he was controversially acquitted of murdering.
At the time of the alleged incident, Kris was married to her first husband, Robert, while Simpson was married to Nicole. Kris had previously admitted to TMZ’s Harvey Levin on OBJECTified that she had an extramarital affair with a soccer player but denied ever having relations with Simpson, a statement she reiterated to In Touch.
