Teigen had experienced complications during the pregnancy, resulting in the devastating loss of their son, Jack, whom they had already named.

This diagnosis led to her being on bed rest for over a month, with the aim of reaching the 28-week mark to safely deliver their son prematurely. Unfortunately, she was eventually hospitalized due to excessive bleeding. Despite receiving multiple blood transfusions, the bleeding could not be stopped, and their baby couldn’t be saved.
In remembrance of their lost child, Teigen had the name “Jack” inked on her wrist, a poignant tribute to their beloved son. Then, in January 2023, Teigen and Legend welcomed their third child and second daughter, Esti Maxine, through IVF. This decision ultimately led them to meet Alexandra, a woman who would play a crucial role in their journey.
Upon speaking with Alexandra, Teigen knew she was the perfect match for their family. Expressing deep gratitude, Teigen thanked Alexandra for the incredible gift she had bestowed upon them. Although the initial attempts with embryos didn’t succeed, Alexandra’s unwavering patience and determination eventually led to a successful pregnancy.
Teigen described the experience of the first trimester, filled with a mix of joy and the natural fears that accompany any expectant couple. As they reached the safe zone in her own pregnancy, the couple was overjoyed to discover that Alexandra was also pregnant—with their little boy.
