Jay-Z has reportedly selected himself to headline the Super Bowl halftime show when the NFL’s biggest game takes over SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on Feb. 14, 2027, according to Puck.
The Brooklyn-born hip-hop mogul, who has played a key role in choosing Super Bowl halftime performers since his entertainment company, Roc Nation, partnered with the NFL in 2019, reportedly emerged as the preferred choice over Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber. Both pop stars had been in discussions to headline the highly anticipated performance, sources told the outlet.
Jay-Z has not publicly commented on the report. However, the rap legend is scheduled to perform two shows at SoFi Stadium on Friday and Saturday, potentially setting the stage for an official announcement about his rumored Super Bowl halftime appearance.

Justin Bieber, who headlined Coachella in April, and Harry Styles were reportedly among Roc Nation’s leading contenders for the Super Bowl halftime show in September, according to TMZ.

In August, Roc Nation publicly shut down rumors that Jay-Z had finished recording a new album, dismissing speculation about a potential follow-up to his 2017 release, 4:44.
“‘Album done’ … Fake news,” the entertainment company wrote on Instagram Stories at the time, according to screenshots shared online.
The denial followed claims by music executive Ray Daniels, who alleged on his podcast that Jay-Z’s highly anticipated new album was “completely done.”
Daniels also claimed that a source told him the project was awaiting potential brand partnerships before its release, according to Hypebeast.
