Jamie Lee Curtis honored her late older sister, Kelly Curtis, by sharing rare, never-before-seen photos of the two following her passing.

On Saturday, the Freaky Friday actress posted a carousel of black-and-white images on Instagram showing her and Kelly together in various moments.

“In 1984 on December 17, in the evening before my wedding, my sister, Kelly, who was my maid of honor, came to my apartment and slept over,” Jamie wrote in the caption of her post.

“My sister and I were close as children, but we also had that sibling competition for a divorced parent’s attention and love,” the Halloween actress (seen above with her parents and sister Kelly) wrote on Instagram.

“My sister and I were close as children, but we also had that sibling competition for a divorced parent’s attention and love. We were wildly different and lived apart for many years, but she came back to be with me at my wedding and never really left again,” she added.

The Oscar winner, 67, shared that her sister Kelly once worked for her during a period when she was “in between jobs” and became part of Jamie Lee’s “family structure.”

“I miss her today, but am buoyed by the knowledge that she is at peace,” she concluded.

Several celebrities also took to the comments section to send love and support to Jamie during this difficult time for her family

“Beautiful ♥️,” wrote Jennifer Garner in the comments.

“The picture in the second column and second down is so tender and beautiful,” added Rita Wilson.

Earlier on Saturday, the Halloween star announced the news on Instagram, sharing a black-and-white image of her sister Kelly smoking a cigarette while having her hair styled, captioned: “A warm aloha to my older sister, Kelly Lee Curtis,” she wrote.

The actress wrote that her sister passed away “this morning. In her home. In nature. At peace.”

“She was my first friend and lifelong confidant,” the True Lies star added, noting that Kelly was “jaw-droppingly beautiful, and a talented actress.”
