A heroic dog tried to save the life of her owner,Ben Ledford, by covering his face during a house fire that occurred in Goshen Township, Ohio. A nine-year-old boxer named Carmen is now fighting for her life. According to CNN, the dog showed immense bravery by sticking to her owner’s side when flames surrounded them both. The firefighters found her covering his face, but unfortunately the man did not survive the terrific fire and his beloved dog is facing a long road to recovery. Carmen is severely damaged from heat and smoke. Ben has been pronounced dead after he arrived to a hospital in Cincinnati. Even though her case is still critical, doctors reported that she is progressing and she is in a better condition than she was when she arrived. Doctors said if she hadn’t been placed on a ventilator, its likely she would have died. So far, Carmen is responding well to treatment.
