Police in Georgia are urging parents to double-check their children’s lunchboxes after a student arrived at school with a canned martini tucked inside. The South Fulton Police Department shared a photo showing what looked like a typical school lunch, but closer inspection revealed a Cutwater Lemon Drop Martini among the snacks. Authorities are reminding parents: “That is NOT Capri Sun.”

Police in Georgia are reminding parents to double-check their children’s lunchboxes before sending them off to school—especially for hidden alcohol.
A 12 oz. canned cocktail, made with vodka, triple sec, and lemon juice, was recently discovered in a student’s lunch. The drink clocks in at a potent 11% ABV—more than twice the strength of an average beer.
“That is NOT Capri Sun. That is NOT Apple Juice,” the South Fulton Police Department joked in a social media post.
The department added, “That is a whole ‘Parent had a long night’ starter pack,” urging parents to “TIGHTEN UP.”
“We know mornings can be hectic … but your child shouldn’t be the only one in the cafeteria with a beverage that requires an ID,” they warned.
Authorities reminded parents to inspect lunchboxes before Fulton County Schools resource officers have to “do inventory at recess.”
