New York City Mayor Eric Adams tore into millennial socialist Zohran Mamdani, branding him a “snake oil salesman” following Mamdani’s stunning primary upset over former Governor Andrew Cuomo.
“He was saying anything to get elected,” Adams said during a Wednesday appearance on Fox & Friends, criticizing Mamdani’s campaign as built on unrealistic progressive promises.
Adams, who will now face the 33-year-old insurgent candidate on an independent line in November’s general election, accused Mamdani of misleading voters with idealistic pledges he can’t deliver.
Mayor Eric Adams lashed out at Mamdani, claiming the upstart candidate “would say anything just to win votes.”
Adams dismissed Mamdani’s lofty promises as nothing more than the pitch of a “snake oil salesman.”
