Billionaire Elon Musk sparked a social media frenzy on Wednesday after appearing alongside President Donald Trump in the Oval Office.
During the meeting, President Trump confronted South African President Cyril Ramaphosa over the controversial issue of white farmer deaths in South Africa.
Musk remained silent throughout the tense exchange, as Trump ordered the lights dimmed and played a video of EFF leader Julius Malema chanting, “Shoot the Boer, shoot the farmer.”
Trump also presented a collection of news clippings, including a Daily Mail report detailing brutal attacks on white South African farmers.
Photos and videos of Elon Musk intently watching President Ramaphosa as he denied that the killings amounted to racial genocide quickly went viral on social media.
“I KID YOU NOT, Elon Musk is literally staring at the South African President like he wants to fight him,” one user posted on X, sharing footage of Musk’s reaction during the tense meeting.

The issue holds personal significance for Musk, who was born in South Africa and has frequently raised concerns on social media about what he describes as white genocide in the country.
In an interview on Tuesday, Musk also took aim at President Ramaphosa, accusing him of enforcing “racist” laws that prevent his Starlink satellite internet service from operating in South Africa due to his race.
“Holy smokes. Elon Musk is staring straight into the soul of South Africa’s president,” wrote MAGA influencer Benny Johnson.
“Yesterday, Elon torched the country’s racist laws and exposed that he’s unable to operate Starlink there for one reason: he’s not black.”

Musk also criticized Ramaphosa in a Tuesday interview, accusing him of enforcing “racist” laws.
“Elon Musk is BACK in the Oval Office, locking eyes with the President of South Africa. Reports claiming Elon has distanced himself from the administration are FALSE. He’s been VERY vocal about the white genocide occurring in South Africa,” wrote Trump supporter Nick Sotor.
“Elon Musk gave the President of South Africa a stare that will haunt his dreams,” tweeted Paul A. Szypula.
President Trump acknowledged Musk’s presence during the meeting but clarified that he was not trying to pull him into the issue.
“Elon is from South Africa. I don’t want to get Elon involved — that’s all I need, dragging him into another issue,” Trump said with a light chuckle.
“This is what Elon wanted. He came here to discuss something else — sending rockets to Mars. He prefers that topic much more,” he added.
Musk has been trying to steer clear of politics lately to concentrate on his businesses, especially Tesla, which faced criticism from the left due to his involvement with DOGE.
