More and more people each day are becoming spiritually aware. Perhaps this is due to a life-changing experience, or something simple that opened a door for them to discover spirituality and be more in touch with the world around them. This might not be about a religious kind of spirituality, but it often is. People are awakening and wanting to be in touch with their spiritual side. Often they do not realise this is what’s happening, so how does someone tell if they are being awakened? Perhaps the following points below will help:
When people go though this, they often feel shy about talking about it. It could be because they don’t exactly know what is happening or perhaps they are scared of what people will think. Put simply, human beings are on earth to learn, grow and help each other and perhaps even make positive changes to their lives along the way.
- 1- A More Sensitive Attitude Develops
We are more tuned in to the people around us. A spiritually awakened person can sense tension immediately in any situation and will usually retreat if they can. We will become more aware and empathetic of other’s feelings. Having said that, when it comes to another person’s emotions, it is important for us not to get caught up in their emotional responses as they are not about us
- 2- We See the Bigger Picture
Usually, for no particular reason things start to make sense. We start to see the bigger picture in our relationships, work affairs, or even morality issues. We begin to believe that the world is not simply, black and white, right and wrong; there is more to it than that. We also feel the need to share this information with people closest to us and possibly even the stranger on the bus we happen to be sitting next to on the way home from work.
- 3- We Have A Light Bulb Moment
A classic light bulb moment might happen, where we suddenly get where someone is coming from. Some call it intuition and intuition rarely steers wrong. The more we find that our intuitive thoughts are correct, the more confident we feel. Sometimes we may experience a dream that help us with an unanswered question.
- 4- An Acceptance of Ourselves
We stop all judgmental feelings and become aware of the fact that no-one is perfect. We are totally aware of our flaws and weaknesses and it does not bother us. We begin to accept ourselves more and this leads to total acceptance and comfort in who we are.
- 5- A Dislike of Media Propaganda
Most of us will be turned off by tabloid news stories and news websites, and we might stop watching television altogether. We begin to get sick of the propaganda that the media try to sell us, not to mention the governments. We see it for what it is; an attempt to manipulate us and make millions selling papers or garnering television ratings.
- 6- We Realize Less is More
Our need for possessions is not so strong anymore. We may desire that beautiful, red mustang or a flat screen television, but it is not a must have. We may even start to see the sense in a minimalist lifestyle. We also know that self-love and unconditional love for ourselves and others is what we wish to achieve.
- 7- An Ability to Read People
When we encounter a liar, most of the time we will be onto it. More often than not we will know when we are being played. This is possibly because we have become more observant, especially around those closest to us. We are tuned into their feelings, so we know when something is up. With a stranger it might be different, but even a stranger might not breach our radar.
- 8- Sympathetic Pain or Symptoms
Because we are tuned into other people’s feelings we might start to develop symptoms of a cold that someone close to us has. Because of the emotions that we absorb from those near us we might develop a stomach upset; letting go of those feelings and finding your emotional balance is not easy, however walking barefoot is a way that spiritual people find their centre.
- 9- We Reach Out to the Underdog
People who have been unjustly treated are people we are often drawn to. The saying that “Everyone loves the underdog” is true. This is due to our deep compassion and loving aura. People will often confide in us, or tell us their secrets. Learning not to get bogged down with this is difficult.
- 10- Knowing When to Share Our Spiritual Awareness
We instinctively know that we cannot share our awareness of certain things spiritual with others. With some people we might not be sure, so we share hoping they will experience that light bulb moment. We also know when it is pointless to try to awaken someone.
- 11- A Need to Set Boundaries
Our energy might begin to get depleted when we are taking on more than we should. We need to learn to set boundaries with people and always take care of our own well-being first. If this sounds selfish, it isn’t. Sometimes selfish is the very best thing we can be in order to take care of ourselves.
- 12- A Need to Help or Heal
We start to look for ways to help others or become healers. We are aware of people who need help and our compassionate nature wants to help and heal everyone. We might even start to take care of ourselves by way of diet and exercise.
- 13- We Believe Anything is Possible
A solution to a problem or the possibility of one is staring us in the face. People may try to talk us out of it, saying that it cannot be done, however we believe that there is a way and all we need to do is find it.
- 14- Our Creative Side Emerges
A spiritually awakened person is happy and has a great imagination. We might be creative, such as a writer or a painter. Whichever it is, we are creative in probably more ways than just one.
- 15- An Understanding About Attraction and Relationships
We realise that there is so much more going on when it comes to what we are attracted to and the people who are attracted to us. In a nut shell we are now aware that every relationship we have is going to bring up our stuff as well as the other person’s. The relationships we are in teach us about ourselves and others. It is within our relationships that we get to work though this baggage.
- 16- A Steadfast Believer in Love
Love is no longer something we question or try to analyze. We believe love is all around us, within us and everyone else.
- 17- Solitude is a Pleasure
We begin to want to spend more time alone with our thoughts, or simply alone reading or writing. Being alone does not bother us; we rarely feel lonely.
- 18- An Ability to Deal with Boredom
Some of us might become very bored at times, however when we put our minds to it, there is always something we can find to do.
- 19- A Belief in Doing the Things we Love
We become aware that we should be doing what we love to do, and we do not enjoy doing things we don’t like. It is not us being lazy; we feel that life is short and why waste time doing things we don’t like.
- 20- Spiritual Sharing is a Continuous Concept
One thing that is constantly on our minds is letting everyone know about our awareness.
- 21- Fear is not an Option
We are not afraid of anything. We are accepting of things being out of our control. We have gone beyond worrying about what tomorrow will bring and our level of awareness is at a point where we do not question what’s coming.
- 22- Time Escapes Us
We are terrible at keeping track of time. Quite often we might be caught up with our thoughts and time gets away, we feel as if one day was just a minute or two.
- 23- We Detest Schedules
Setting a routine or a schedule is not something we are good at. In fact we hate it; we don’t like to be locked down to a schedule for every hour of the day.
- 24- We Disagree with Authority
Decisions that are made by people in authority usually do not sit well with us. Many people who have issues with authority often have a higher level of spirituality and awareness.
- 25- We Treat Everyone with Kindness
We are usually kind and polite to people even if they are complete jerks. We will often make excuses not to spend time with people like this or completely avoid these people altogether. We do not understand how people can be so insensitive or completely ignore how another person is feeling.
If someone is experiencing any of the above examples, it might well mean that their conscious mind and spiritual awareness has been awakened. It is well worth thinking about if we find that we identify with some of the above. Perhaps this is the start of different and unique ways of viewing the world.
