The Willis family has faced significant challenges in recent months, and their journey continues to be arduous.

Following the revelation of the Die Hard star’s initial diagnosis affecting communication, a hush fell over the world. Bruce’s family rallied around him, providing unwavering support and regularly updating his fans on his condition.

As Bruce retreated from the public eye, a more precise diagnosis emerged: frontotemporal dementia. Rumer Willis, his daughter, expressed deep gratitude for the outpouring of love and support, providing an update on Bruce’s evolving situation.

“Since we shared Bruce’s initial diagnosis of aphasia in spring 2022, his condition has advanced, leading to a more specific diagnosis: frontotemporal dementia (FTD),” Rumer shared on social media.

Bruce’s illness has cast a shadow not only on him but also on his wife, ex-wife, and daughters. Tallulah, Bruce’s daughter with Demi Moore, is grappling with worsening mental health issues as her father’s condition deteriorates.

Tallulah openly discussed her battle with anorexia, a struggle that intensified less than three months after her father’s aphasia diagnosis, coinciding with her breakup with fiancé Dillon Buss. Reports indicate that Bruce is aware of his daughter’s distress.

“Bruce could see her wasting away, and it only exacerbated his own challenges,” a source revealed, as reported by Radar. “He was shattered witnessing Tallulah’s suffering,” the insider continued.

The family reached a juncture where they believed it would be more beneficial if they avoided being in each other’s company altogether.

Following her breakup, Tallulah received a diagnosis of borderline personality disorder during her stay at an in-patient facility. In an essay for Vogue Magazine, she detailed how her battle with body dysmorphia commenced when she began taking medication for ADHD.

“I felt smart for the first time,” Tallulah shared about the medication. “But I also started to enjoy the appetite-suppressant side effect of the meds. I saw a way to banish the awkward adolescent in favor of a flighty little pixie. And like so many people with eating disorders, my sense of myself went haywire.”

“There’s an unhealthy deliciousness at the beginning of losing weight rapidly. People are like, ‘Oh wow!’ And then quickly it turns to, ‘Are you okay?’ My friends and family were terrified, and I dismissed it.”

At 29 years old, she further shared, “By the spring of 2022, I weighed about 84 lbs. I was always freezing. I was calling mobile IV teams to come to my house, and I couldn’t walk in my Los Angeles neighborhood because I was afraid of not having a place to sit down and catch my breath.”

We sincerely wish for Tallulah to successfully navigate through her health challenges.
