A North Dakota State University football player was dismissed from the team after allegedly stealing a designer bag containing luxury items, including an expensive Rolex, during a raucous Fourth of July boat party in Minnesota.

Twenty-year-old William Frattalone is scheduled to appear in court later this week on charges that he took a designer bag holding over $270,000 in valuables, including a $228,000 Rolex and $25,000 in limited-edition clothing, according to a complaint filed on August 27.

William Frattalone was removed from the North Dakota State University football team after allegedly stealing a luxury bag over the summer.

The disgraced cornerback is the second player to be removed from the Division I team in the past year, following teammate Jaiden Pickett, who was sentenced to three years in prison last September after accidentally firing a gun inside a home while threatening another athlete.

According to the Brainerd Dispatch, Pickett and Frattalone had been involved in a physical altercation with the other athlete, a university track runner, before the gun was discharged.

Frattalone — who had not played in any games for the NDSU Bisons — was recorded on video shortly before the incident boasting about wanting to fight others. Fortunately, no one was injured, and he was never charged in connection with the episode.

In his latest run-in with the law, Frattalone’s alleged bag-snatching victim reported the apparent theft at the Maynards Restaurant, a bayside eatery in Excelsior, Minn.

The frantic victim explained that he was storing his bag in a secure cabin aboard his friend’s boat, but that it went missing while they were dining on land.

Frattalone somehow wound up on the boat as well, though it’s unclear how he knew the others on board. He tried to enter Maynards with the bag, but was stopped by employees because of their strict bag policy, according to the complaint.

The benchwarmer reportedly insisted that he just needed to bring the bag to his car, so the employees escorted him to the parking lot, where he quickly left the premises.

Later, another passenger on the boat reached out to Frattalone about the missing bag. He reportedly shrugged it off, allegedly saying his wealthy parents would “write a check for whatever was inside the bag.”

During a search of Frattalone’s Minnesota home, authorities recovered the missing bag and most of the clothing, but the Rolex was not found, according to the complaint.

When confronted about the stolen designer bag and Rolex, Frattalone reportedly shrugged it off, allegedly claiming his wealthy parents would ‘write a check for whatever was inside the bag.’

Authorities also discovered a video on Frattalone’s phone from July 4, showing the docked boat and the area where several bags, including the stolen one, were stored.

North Dakota State football head coach Tim Polasek confirmed that Frattalone has been dismissed from the team and “will not be considered to re-join the team in any fashion,” according to KVRR.

The Post contacted the NDSU football team for comment.

Frattalone is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.
