They got engaged in the very hospital where they had been treated as teenagers. Zach Zarembinski proposed to Isabelle Richard at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota, where both had been patients following their 2018 injuries, according to Kare11. “Will you marry me?” he asked in front of dozens of hospital staff and relatives, as shared in a podcast on YouTube.
Zach Zarembinski proposed to Isabelle Richard inside Regions Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota — the same place where both had been patients following their injuries in 2018.
“Yes,” Richard said as a white backdrop dropped, revealing a massive heart made of flowers framing the words, “Will you marry me?”
Zarembinski had lured his future bride back to the hospital under the pretense of recording an episode of their podcast, Hope in Healing.
“This is a real honor. We were allowed to record this podcast at Regions Hospital, where all the nurses and doctors took care of us. It’s bringing tears to my eyes to be back here and see this,” he said.
Before proposing, Zarembinski had Richard stand and pointed to the spot where he first met her family in November 2018, shortly after waking from his coma.
The then-18-year-old had suffered a brain bleed and collapsed on the sidelines of a high school football game on October 28, 2018.
