Brandi Passante, known for her rivalry with Darrell Sheets on “Storage Wars,” has shared a heartfelt tribute following news of his death.
According to the Lake Havasu Police Department, the reality TV star died at age 67 from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Passante took to Instagram on Wednesday to post a series of photos of the two together over the years. In the first image, she is seen smiling as Sheets playfully points in her direction.
Reflecting on their long history, Passante said she had known Sheets for many years and admitted she is now “at a loss for words”

Passante said she had known Sheets for many years and shared throwback photos of the two together.
“I’m just so very sorry to hear the circumstances of his passing,” she wrote.
“My heart hurts for Brandon, Zoie, and Kimber,” she continued, referring to Sheets’ wife, Kimber, his son Brandon, and his granddaughter Zoie. “I unfortunately lost a parent and a brother to similar situations.”
She also used the moment to share a message of support for those struggling with their mental health.
“If you are struggling, if you feel hopeless or like no one cares, I assure you they do. You are not alone,” she wrote.
Passante said her heart hurts for Sheets’ family, including his wife, son, and granddaughter. She and Sheets are pictured here alongside Rachael Ray.
Passante also expressed support for those struggling with mental health issues, emphasizing that “there is always hope.”
“Please reach out for help. You are not taking your pain away—you are transferring it to someone else. The grief from suicide is endless. There is always help… You can dial 988 on your phone to connect with a counselor and resources. Never suffer in silence.”
Passante, 45, has been part of A&E’s “Storage Wars” since its debut in 2010.
Sheets appeared on the long-running reality series—which follows professional buyers bidding on repossessed and abandoned storage units in California—from 2010 until 2023.
Fellow “Storage Wars” star Rene Nezhoda said in an Instagram video on Wednesday that he believes cyberbullying may have played a role in Sheets’ death.
According to the Lake Havasu Police Department, Sheets died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
“He had this guy really tormenting him lately and cyberbullying him,” Nezhoda said.
“Darrell had been posting a lot about the person who was targeting him online, and I really hope law enforcement looks into it and it doesn’t just get overlooked,” he added.
Sergeant Kyle Ridgway, a public information officer for the Lake Havasu City Police Department, told Page Six, “We are aware of these cyberbullying accusations, and that is part of the active investigation.”
