There are moments in life when we experience disappointment because we couldn’t acquire the latest phone or indulge in a lavish vacation. Regrettably, we often fail to recognize that there are individuals living on the brink of poverty who would cherish the things we often take for granted. This serves as a reminder to be grateful for the life we have.
Angel David was on the cusp of turning eight years old. Thus far, he had never had the opportunity to celebrate his birthday like his friends, with a cake and a party. It wasn’t because his mother didn’t want to give her son a proper celebration; she simply couldn’t afford it.
However, this year marked a distinct change. Angel’s teacher and his fellow classmates were well aware that he had never experienced a birthday party. So, they collectively decided to take action and organize one for him.
The classroom was filled with excitement as they eagerly awaited Angel’s arrival.
When he finally entered the room and was met with the chorus of “Happy Birthday,” the young boy was overwhelmed with emotion. His joy was so profound that he couldn’t contain his tears of happiness.
