When you move from house to house, the owner sometimes leaves a bottle of wine to celebrate this important event. Maybe, if you’re lucky, they’ll leave some furniture behind. They rarely leave an animal.
A family who had recently moved were somewhat shocked to find a very abusive note from the previous owners of their new house stating that when they bought this house they also received a garden cat.

“Welcome to our beloved home!” The note started. “We hope you enjoy it as much as we do! There’s a favor we’re asking of you, and you don’t have to do it, but we would appreciate it.”
Well, that’s a weird way to welcome someone to a new home, but let’s move on.
“In the garden there is an old orange cat that lives there,” the note continues. “He’s a savage and he was born in our garden 12 years ago. He has an injured claw and won’t let you near him. We feed him (everyday) twice a day and we have him for years.”
Oh man, couldn’t that be something that was brought up when the papers were signed and the closing costs were guaranteed?
“We immediately looked out the back sliding glass door and he was looking at us through the door,” said Miranda, the woman who bought the house and found the note.
Fortunately, Miranda and her husband found the situation amusing. “We started laughing because we currently have five cats, all but one have been rescued,” Miranda said. “The house we used to live in, people would drop their cats in there and we would take them.”
Well, if that isn’t the weirdest of coincidences!
The previous owners were clearly afraid to mention the cat in the process of selling the house, lest Miranda back down. But that’s the last thing that happened. Of course Miranda took the cat as part of her family!

She called him Raz and was determined to make him part of her family and make him feel warm enough to trust them, and maybe even come in once in a while.
After a while, I finally start to make progress! “He was hiding every time we came to the door. Now we can sit outside with him,” she said. had never done before.”
Miranda is clearly a huge cat lover and she would do anything to help her cat. She wants her story to encourage people to take in stray animals and help them.
“If you can afford to care for an animal in need, you should,” Miranda said. “There’s nothing quite like earning their trust and helping them spend their time comfortably and feeling loved.”
The family called him Raz, and at first, he was far too scared to come near the new inhabitants of the house. However, he eventually started to relax. Miranda says that now he does not hide when he sees them, and he feels comfortable with them to come to the door and meow for food.
Little Raz got lucky with the new people who moved into the house. This adorable story shows that some people are still willing to take on a bit of extra work to care for defenseless animals.
