When Chambers read the note, she instantly got goosebumps all over her body. Although the teacher of 16 years was practically moved to tears by the kind gesture, she couldn’t accept the money from her student.

Instead of making Williams feel bad about the gesture, she reciprocated the kindness by giving him a hug and writing him a note in return. Her note read, “I can’t accept this but appreciate the gesture, Parker. Students like you are the reason I teach.”

The third-grader’s father, Darrell Williams, learned about his son’s unique gift when he saw the note in his backpack. After sharing the story and pictures of the note on Facebook, his son’s kind deed quickly went viral.

Williams’ mother stated she had no idea what her son was up to and that he had done this all on his own. It just goes to show that kids learn by example and, if given the opportunity, will do great thing
