“Little Rascals” star Brandon “Bug” Hall is turning to fans for financial support as he and his wife get ready to welcome their sixth child.
The 41-year-old actor launched a GoFundMe campaign on Thursday, admitting that he “really need[ed] some help” after years of avoiding public fundraising.
“It’s now six years since I self-cancelled, and I have avoided doing one of these in all that time. I always said this was my choice, and so I didn’t want to offload the glorious burden of it unless there was no other choice. Well here we are,” Hall explained in the fundraiser’s description.
Hall revealed that his family was struggling financially after relocating to a new property in rural Arkansas, leaving them behind on several bills.
The former child actor explained that he was seeking assistance to help get “the last few things buttoned up” before he and his wife welcome their sixth child.
“Times are hard for everyone, and I’m no more deserving than anyone else, but I ask in your charity that you help where you can, whether monetarily, by sharing this, or by prayer and sacrifice for the Hall-Barnetts of the Holy Cross,” he wrote.
Hall currently lives with his family in rural Arkansas. His GoFundMe campaign has raised $10,130 so far, exceeding its initial $2,000 fundraising goal.
The fundraiser comes months after the former child star was arrested and charged in Ohio in April for failing to appear in court over a traffic citation issued in October 2024.
Hall also faced legal trouble in 2020 when he was arrested in Texas for allegedly huffing air duster cans.
Best known for portraying Alfalfa Switzer in the 1994 comedy “The Little Rascals,” Hall previously told the Daily Mail that he had taken a “vow of poverty” and embraced an off-the-grid lifestyle, describing himself as “a radical Catholic extremist.”

The former child actor revealed that he had donated the money he earned during his Hollywood career to charity, along with many of his personal belongings.
“My goal is to maintain a life as free of any need for an income as possible,” he told the outlet at the time.
“If there’s a financial need that comes up, I’ll go take some work or do an odd job, for cash to fulfill that need,” he explained.
Before settling in rural Arkansas, Hall and his family previously lived in Los Angeles and Texas.
Bug Hall rose to fame as a child actor in the 1994 comedy “The Little Rascals.”
The former Hollywood star told the Daily Mail that he and his wife homeschool their children and plan to “strongly discourage them” from attending college in the future.
Hall also shared his controversial views on education and social issues, dismissing formal schooling as “nonsense,” describing same-sex marriage as “contrary to natural law” and calling abortion “plainly murder.”
Reflecting on his decision to leave Hollywood behind, Hall told the outlet, “I didn’t want to go work some job that was basically meaningless, making widgets to entertain people or distract people.”
