Shivon Zilis, the mother of four of Elon Musk’s children, said the billionaire ended their relationship without warning — only a week after telling her he loved her.

The Neuralink executive posted on X Friday, confirming in a lengthy statement that she and Musk had recently called it quits.

“It’s hard to go from in love to let go in a week with no warning, but that’s just how it is sometimes 🤷🏻‍♀️,” Zilis, 40, wrote.

Zilis took to X Friday with a lengthy statement, seen above, confirming that Musk had ended their relationship “with no warning.”

She said she was thankful to have given Musk, 55, the experience of being “deeply understood, nurtured, and peacefully loved with stability and gentleness.”

Reflecting on what she called the “tumultuous nature” of his upbringing and his “often tortured soul,” Zilis said she had wanted Musk to know “the deepest and most stable form of love this world can provide.”

“My heart is full knowing I got to do that, and I hope it leaves a lasting, good effect,” she wrote.

Zilis said she and the four children she shares with Musk — twins Strider and Azure, born in November 2021, daughter Arcadia, born in early 2024, and son Seldon Lycurgus, born in February 2025 — had long served as a “safe space” for him.

She said their home offered Musk “happiness and love, not war,” which she contrasted with what she described as his otherwise “militant existence.”

“A needed break from the battlefield where he could recharge his heart and soul before heading back out,” she added.

“I loved being that counterbalancing place of safety, sense of calm and love — and delighted in bringing a smile back to his face when he was down. I will miss him dearly,” she continued.

Zilis said she had loved Musk “more than life itself” and credited him with teaching her “100 lifetimes of knowledge,” adding that the breakup had left her with a deep sense of “loss.”

Despite the pain, she said she remained grateful for the four children they share, describing them as the “four beautiful, little loves of [her] life.”

“I am so beyond grateful for our children, and they make every single day the best day of my life!” she wrote. “I do hope and pray he and I can be great friends and co-parents.”

“I’m hurting but care deeply about E and will always be cheering for his happiness. Godspeed, Elon. The world is lucky to have you.”

Alongside her statement, Zilis shared a screenshot of a text exchange with Musk from a week earlier, in which she wrote, “It was really wonderful to see you for breakfast. Love you very much 💕.”

Musk responded, “Love you too,” and said he had not realized the Sept. 24 dinner he attended with President Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping included significant others, adding that he “would have invited [Zilis]” if he had known.

“Aw, that means so much to me. Thank you ❤️,” she replied.

Musk has also recently faced criticism from his first wife, Justine Musk (née Wilson), who said she felt “insignificant” during their marriage. Musk is pictured above at the launch event for America.gov last month.

Most recently, Justine Musk discussed their marriage in the new documentary “Musk,” which premiered at the Venice Film Festival last month.

Justine, 54, said she felt “insignificant” in the relationship and claimed she “learned the term ‘gaslighting’ through” her marriage to the Tesla CEO.

“He was constantly remarking on the ways he found me lacking,” she said.

Musk and Justine share five children: twins Griffin and Vivian, 22; triplets Kai, Saxon and Damian, 20; and their late son, Nevada Alexander, who died at 10 weeks old in 2002.
