Talk about luxury on demand.
Blake Lively reportedly had her chauffeur deliver her expensive mahjong set to court on Wednesday, Page Six reports.
The “Gossip Girl” star arrived around 8:30 a.m. for a day of mediation in her legal battle with former co-star Justin Baldoni, with proceedings officially starting at 10 a.m.
Blake Lively Appears in Court, Has Staffer Deliver Mahjong Set to Pass the Time
Sets from her favorite brand, Oh My Mahjong, can cost up to $500.
By 11 a.m., sources say Lively—probably passing the time while the judge shuttled between her team and Justin Baldoni’s—grew impatient with the slow pace of proceedings and decided to bring out some entertainment.
Her driver reportedly arrived at the Daniel Patrick Moynihan Courthouse carrying the centuries-old Chinese tile game.
Their relationship reportedly soured while filming “It Ends With Us.”
Blake Lively has previously shared her love for mahjong. In a December interview with Vogue, she said, “I have been teaching friends how to play [mahjong], though I need to say I’m not a certified teacher.”
“But I know enough to teach my friends how to play with me, and in the end, I always end up gifting them my own set because they are obsessed and want to practice,” she added.
Lively is said to favor sets from Oh My Mahjong, which can cost up to $500. (For comparison, a basic set runs about $25, while an ultra-luxe version by Brunello Cuccinelli sells for $15,500.)
The two were expected back in court on Thursday as they continue efforts to reach a pre-trial settlement in Blake Lively’s sexual harassment case against Justin Baldoni, who has strongly denied any wrongdoing.
Lively has also accused Baldoni of attempting to use “social manipulation” to “destroy” her reputation.
